John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) has 5 active terminals, and one of them is Terminal 5. Opened in 2008, this terminal mainly serves as the hub for JetBlue Airlines’ flights to and from New York. To handle arrivals and departures for JetBlue and a few other airlines, Terminal 5 features 1 concourse, 4 levels, and 29 gates. It also supports all the necessary steps before departure and after arrival.
Terminal 5 was redesigned by Gensler and built by Turner Construction. It is located behind the preserved Eero Saarinen-designed TWA Flight Center, which is now connected to the new terminal and considered part of T5.
